Can I do this?

I have a lovely home but it needs some updating. I'm going to try and tackle the master bath! The vanity is cream color so I thought that I would sand the cabinet and stain it a dark brown, change out the faucets and lights and maybe even put a frame around the mirror. If this doesn't work I'll go to plan "B".....
